National Registration
Commonwealth and State Governments are currently working toward national registration for all fully regulated health professions in Australia and this is planned to be in place by July 2008.
As occupational therapy is not currently regulated in all States and Territories of Australia, COTRB and OT AUSTRALIA are working together to push for full regulation of the profession and have written to the Prime Minister, Federal Health Minister, State Premiers, Territory Chief Ministers and State/Territory Health Ministers.

Christmas Closure
Please note that the office of the Council will be closed for the Christmas/New Year period from 12noon on Friday 22 December 2006 and will re-open on Monday 8 January 2007.
It should also be noted that, due to staff leave, the office will operate on a skeleton staff during the month of January.
